My boyfriend and I recently had a weekend getaway in Ho Chi Minh City and we were fortunate enough to stay at the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing rooftop terrace equipped with an infinity pool and rooftop bar, called Vertical Sky Bar. The pool, although small in size, was very stylish and offered stunning river views. Unfortunately, it was only accessible to hotel guests, but luckily the rooftop bar was open to everyone.
The ambiance of Vertical Sky Bar was relaxed during the day, with a pool lounge vibe, and became more festive and fun later on at night with live bands performing five nights a week, including ‘Latin Fridays’ and ‘Jazz Sundays’. Speaking of ‘Latin Fridays’, the live Latin band was amazing and the salsa dancing that followed was so much fun!
The menu at the rooftop bar was impressive, with signature cocktails, wine, local draught beers, and light snacks. During the daily happy hour from 6-8pm, the drinks were extra good value. My boyfriend was particularly impressed with the selection of local beers, while I enjoyed sipping on the refreshing signature cocktails.
What made our experience at Vertical Sky Bar even more special was the stunning views over the Saigon River and the open landscape of District 2 on the other side. The rooftop was not too crowded, so it was perfect for casual conversations and soaking in the good vibes.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Vertical Sky Bar and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Its address is 17 Tôn Đức Thắng, Bến Nghé, 1, Ho Chi Minh City and it’s open on Fridays and Saturdays from 08.30 – 00.00.
