Southbridge rooftop bar is the perfect place to experience the best views over Singapore River. My sister and I visited this rooftop Oyster & Gin Bar and were absolutely blown away by the stunning views and overall atmosphere.
The first thing that caught our attention was the amazing location. Located above the plethora of bars and restaurants along the popular Boat Quay river walk, Southbridge is like an oasis above it all. You can watch the river boats pass by, gaze out to Marina Bay Sands, or enjoy the majestic skyline from this vantage point.
While the bar is self-named an Oyster Bar, we would like to classify it as an ‘Oyster-Champagne-Cocktail Bar’. The menu is extensive and offers a wide range of oysters from all over the world, along with other tasty bar bites like sliders and grilled sandwiches. The drink menu is equally impressive, with a variety of bubblys and wines, along with an extensive selection of crafted cocktails.
The Southbridge terrace has a beautiful setting, with soft lighting letting the surrounding city lights truly shine. The bar dominates the central point, and there are bar stools and tables situated all around the edge, with a few private tables located at the back, away from the river. Although the terrace is not very large, it still offers a cosy and intimate vibe, making it the perfect place for romantic cocktails.
My sister and I had a great time speaking with the friendly and attentive staff, who made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend making reservations or arriving early to secure a good seat, as the terrace fills up quickly.
Overall, Southbridge rooftop bar is a must-visit destination in Singapore. Its ideal location, extensive menu, and friendly service make it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. Don’t forget to look for the big white balloon to find the entrance, and remember that it’s located behind the building from South Bridge Road, after 7-Eleven. We cannot wait to visit again!
