My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting the Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar during our weekend getaway at the Hotel Caravelle in Ho Chi Minh City. The history of the place was palpable, having been a favorite spot of American reporters during the Vietnam War. We were instantly transported to a different time and place with the vintage rustic decor and large wooden chairs.

The views from the rooftop were nothing short of spectacular, with the Opera House and Notre Dame in close proximity, and the sunset was simply magical. The Saigon Saigon Bar had an extensive drink menu, which included their own brewed beer, Caravelle Terrace Draft, and signature cocktails with references to the hotel’s history and Saigon.

Apart from drinks, the bar also had a great food menu with a blend of classic bar bites and Vietnamese cuisine. From Wagyu Beef Burger to Vietnamese Spring Rolls, the food was delicious and the portions were just right. The fast and friendly service added to the sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere, making our experience even more enjoyable.

My boyfriend couldn’t stop raving about the live Cuba Band and DJ that performed nightly at the bar. The music added to the already great ambiance, making it a classic spot among the best rooftop bars in Ho Chi Minh City.

If you’re planning an event, the Hotel Caravelle has a space called ‘Event on 26th’ on the rooftop, which is perfect for larger gatherings with fantastic views. The Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 16.00 onwards.

Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
