My best friends and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Diamond Sky Bar, nestled on the 13th, 14th and 15th floors of the stunning Hanoi La Siesta Diamond Hotel & Spa. The rooftop bar is a true urban oasis in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, boasting incredible 360-degree views of the city. From the bar, we could see the majestic Hoan Kiem Lake and the five bridges spanning the Red River. On a clear day, we could even spot the Ba Vi Mountain range, located 70km west of Hanoi.

The three terraces were a sight to behold, each one crafted from glass, metal and wood. The 13th floor terrace features an open kitchen, spacious seating areas and of course, the bar. The 14th floor terrace is perfect for chilling out and enjoying the view, while the 15th floor is an exclusive space reserved for special occasions. The rooftops’ stylish design and fantastic vistas set the tone for a chic and sophisticated atmosphere.

The staff at Diamond Sky Bar were friendly, polite and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We sampled some of the hand-crafted cocktails, which were a mix of cool signature creations and classic favorites, alongside locally crafted beer and premium spirits. The menu also includes a tempting selection of Vietnamese snacks, salads, and premium beef dishes.

One of the highlights of our visit was the daily happy hour between 5-7 pm. It was the perfect opportunity to sip our drinks and watch the sun slowly set over the city. The ambience was enhanced with soft lounge music, which sometimes gave way to live entertainment, adding to the rooftop’s chic and relaxing vibe.
