During our recent holiday trip to Zanzibar, my friends and I stumbled upon the Taarab Restaurant and Bar, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The rooftop restaurant and bar, perched on top of the modern DoubleTree By Hilton Zanzibar – Stone Town, offers a stylish setting for dining and drinking all day long.

The mix of indoor seating and al fresco terrace provides a stunning view of both Stone Town and the Indian Ocean. The menu is equally impressive, featuring International fusion and seafood dishes that cater to all palates. From the flavours of Zanzibar to pasta and catch of the day, the menu had something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the catch of the day, which was prepared to perfection.

The full bar menu with cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wine and beer was also impressive. We enjoyed sipping on some delicious mocktails while taking in the breathtaking sunset from the terrace.

Taarab Restaurant and Bar was perfect for a sunny and relaxing breakfast, lunch, or some drinks to end the day. However, it was the perfect venue for a stylish dinner too. The rooftop menu was extensive, and the presentation of the dishes was impeccable. We particularly loved the side of views that came with our dinner, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 07.00 – 22.00, which allowed us to enjoy our meals and drinks in a leisurely manner without feeling rushed. Taarab Restaurant and Bar is located at 90 / 90A Shanghani Street, Zanzibar City, Zanzibar, and is one of the most stylish spots in the city.

Overall, we highly recommend Taarab Restaurant and Bar for anyone visiting Zanzibar. The stunning views, impeccable menu, and excellent service made it the perfect venue for a memorable dining experience. It is truly a gem worth visiting!
