We had the pleasure of experiencing Flames, the rooftop restaurant and bar located at The Westcliff’s Four Seasons Hotel last week. Our group consisted of my girlfriend and some of our closest friends, and I must say that we were all blown away by the luxurious atmosphere and lush views that surrounded us.

Flames offers both stylish indoor seating and a spacious outdoor terrace, allowing you to bask in the elevated position of the hotel and take in the stunning views of Johannesburg and its lush greenery. The cocktails were exquisite, and the champagne selection was top-notch. The restaurant menu did not disappoint either, as we indulged in regional favorites such as the dry-spice–rubbed sea bass and the 600g Tomahawk Ribeye steak, which were cooked to perfection. We also sampled the pizza, pasta, and sushi, which were all equally delicious.

My girlfriend couldn’t stop raving about the exclusivity and high-end setting of the restaurant, while our friends were equally impressed by the attentive and friendly service. We unanimously agreed that this is the perfect spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner date. Flames is open daily for dinner, lunch on weekdays, and brunch on weekends. On Fridays and Saturdays, it’s open from 11.00 – 21.00.
